将英语置于仰卧位，你跪在英语身旁（或取合适姿势），先用一手捏住英语的下巴，把下巴提起，另一只手捏住英语的鼻子，不使其漏气。进行人工呼吸者，在进行前先深吸一口气，然后将嘴贴紧英语的嘴，吹气入口；同时观察英语胸部是否高起；吹完气后嘴即离开，让英语把肺内的气“呼”出。最初吹的5－10口气要快些，以后则不必过快，只要看到英语高起的胸部下落，表示肺内的气体已排出时，接着吹下一口气，就可以了。如此往复不止地操作，直到英语恢复自动呼吸或真正确诊死亡为止。每次吹气用力不可过大，以免患者肺泡破裂；也不可过小，以免进气不足，达不到救治目的。
